About Etna Ice Cream
Striving
to create the perfect all natural ice cream, Paolo today still scrupulously
selects only the finest ingredients: the sweetest American cow's
milk, New Zealand "full" butter, rich Dutch Cacao, select
Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, Caribbean sugar, local fruits, Georgia
pecans --- the list goes on and on. We never use any prepared mixes.
These freshest of ingredients are blended
daily by hand according to our own secret time-tested recipes, then
the future ice cream is pasteurized and homogenized, and meticulously
hand-packaged to yield the finest ultra-premium ice creams ever
created. The artisan nature of the creation process necessitates
continual involvement and supervision by the maestro himself to
ensure a consistent ultra-premium quality product.
Etna ice cream is ultra-premium quality,
the world's finest, with an extraordinarily creamy richness, flavor,
and body thanks to 14% butterfat. Unlike ordinary ice creams, which
quickly melt into a watery mess, Etna ultra-premium ice cream melts
slowly even in hot summer Caribbean weather.
Etna has been manufacturing its ultra-premium
homemade ice creams exclusively in St. Martin, French West Indies,
for 27 years.
Our products are distributed on both the
French and Dutch sides of the island as well as on the nearby islands
of Saba, St. Barths, and Anguilla. Our customers are supermarkets,
restaurants (gourmet to local), ice cream parlours, hotels, and
other discriminating establishments.
Production is underway four days weekly with
two full-time workers (Betty and Paolo) plus three part-time workers
who together produce and deliver 300 gallons of ice cream daily.
